Why are we here? Where do we come from? These questions will eventually cross the mind of any thinking person, and no less among them acclaimed physicist Sir Stephen Hawking, who stoked the flames of thought as he brought these words into question in May 2011, at a Google Zeitgeist conference.
"Traditionally, these are questions for philosophy," Hawking told the audience. "But philosophy is dead. Philosophers have not kept up with modern developments in science, particularly physics."
