UFO Conference vs Exopolitics Conference?

What is Exopolitics? - "the art or science of government as concerned with guiding or influencing governmental policy towards extraterrestrial phenomena and extraterrestrial beings"

Around the world for the better part of 60 years people have gathered together to hear stories and testimony of people who have been witnesses to the unknown.

From the foo-fighters of the World War II to the flying disks of the late 1940s and early 1950s; sightings were reported and people gathered together to hear about them and discuss their meaning and possible implications. Before long these craft becames popularly known as UFOs - Unidentified Flying Objects.

Herein lay the problem - the idiosyncratic nature of giving identity to a phenomena with a word which blatently contridicts the observation gave meaning to those who cared to listen while allowing others to easily ignore that which remained unknown - unidentified. Tell me about a flying disc or black triangle on any day and I will know what you mean. I have heard the stories before. Yet if you tell me you saw a UFO I really have no idea what you saw ... or if you even really saw anything ... and by your own discription neither do you!

Late into the 20th century things began to change and as the UFO disclosure movement began to politicise the UFO subject if was clear that the terminology had to be address. By 2001 UFO disclosure was making progress and a new term for a field of enquiry was sort for. The UFO was failing to describe a close encounter observation adequately let alone the scope of the phenomena and its impact on society.

Thus exopolitics was born.

Where "exopolitics" is the "ufology" for the 21st Century -
an Exopolitics Conference the UFO Conference for the new millenia.
